Fellowship & Recreation
The
Fellowship and Recreation at Woodlands Christian Church is
planned so that everyone in our church family can find something
they will enjoy.
FELLOWSHIP is very important in the life of a
congregation. At Woodlands we try to have fellowship dinners on a
regular basis and many are covered-dish. We also have catered
meals, church-prepared meals, chili suppers, picnics, cook-outs,
watermelon feeds, ice cream socials. . .on and on and on! Most fellowship
dinners are on Sunday evenings. Watch your weekly newsletter and
Sunday bulletin for the dates and times.
Some of our fellowship
events include the Valentine Event, Sonsinger Productions, Fall
Round-Up, Halloween Parties, the big Christmas Dinner, the
Children's Christmas Program, and of course, the Caroling
Party for those brave enough to face a cold Oklahoma winter
evening.
We all share in the work
and certainly everyone has a good time! It doesn't take
long to get acquainted when you work and eat with people ... so
come on! Join us!
WORK
DAYS are not really considered fellowship events, but a
lot of good fellowship happens on these days. They
are generally held on Saturdays. Watch for them and come on
out.
RECREATION is another important part of the fellowship at
Woodlands. There is something for everyone and everyone is there
to have a good time... those playing and those cheering!
We've been known to have table tennis tournaments, volleyball on the
church lawn, ski trips to Colorado, and canoeing down the
Illinois River. Woodlands people are full of fun and adventure.
The Disciples Women sponsors annual All-Church Golf Tournaments in the
Fall and Spring. There is an All-Church Skating Party in the
winter and the youth groups have bowling and miniature golf
outings.
If you didn't see
anything that interests you, just wait...
WE'RE COMING UP WITH SOMETHING NEW
ALL THE
TIME!
